Shailesh lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Mumbai Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100. His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 6 weeks. With the right equipment Shailesh could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $100 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $20 • First-year servicing plan: $25 • Fitting and training sessions: $55 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Sakshi
