Shafiq, 80, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $700 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 80. After a diagnosis of dementia Shafiq can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Shafiq desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Shafiq worked all of his life as a bus driver, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $700 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $530
• Medication and prescriptions: $70
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $60
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $40
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

so sorry you're going through this. Hope this works out for you. Sent it to 25 people at work. Love from Milan.
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Shafiq?
Thank you. If you're in Khulna I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. I'll keep the page updated.
Wishing you the best, Shafiq. Shared this with my family. Don't give up.
best of luck. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. It's not much but it's yours.
Wishing you peace, Shafiq. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My husband and I read this together. Blessings.
Hope you get there. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from New York.
