In November I was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections. My surgeon at San Diego University Hospital recommended septoplasty, and I have been placed on the schedule for February. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $4,550, and after what my employer's plan will pay, I'm still $3,650 short.
