Save Poppy: Abubakar can't afford the emergency vet
A German shepherd named Poppy needs an operation to remove the blockage - a $300 bill the family cannot cover.
🇳🇬 Epe, Lagos, Nigeria1,042 views
Poppy is my German shepherd of two years. On 27 June we rushed to Epe Veterinary Centre with a broken leg after a road accident. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $300.
They have stabilized Poppy, but the treatment can't wait beyond September.
Poppy is more than a pet - Poppy is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $25 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Epe Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Poppy's recovery.
Where the $300 goes:
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $95
• Emergency surgery: $155
• Medication and follow-up visits: $50
Thanks for being kind about this.

take care, Abubakar. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 16 people at work
shared this with my family. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Oaxaca de Juárez.
sending strength. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings.
