School supplies and a laptop for Kai in Oakland
Kai won a place at Oakland Science Academy but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.
🇺🇸 United States1,675 views
I earned a place in the first year of senior school at Oakland Science Academy, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the robotics course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $900, which is more than we have.
I love robotics and want to become a marine biologist. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $900 goes:
• Laptop: $510
• School uniform and shoes: $195
• Textbooks and workbooks: $120
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $75
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
