Jayden lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Glasgow Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,450. His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment Jayden could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $5,450 goes: • powered wheelchair: $4,800 • Fitting and training sessions: $340 • Delivery and set-up: $140 • First-year servicing plan: $170 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Katherine

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($427 in total) I made the first payment toward first-year servicing plan. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 5% now ($272). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward fitting and training sessions.
