Save Simba: Wekesa can't afford the emergency vet
A senior cat named Simba needs an operation to remove the blockage - a $350 bill the family can't cover.

Simba is my senior cat of thirteen years. On 29 April we rushed to the Dar es Salaam Emergency Vet Clinic with bloat. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $350.
They have stabilized Simba, but the treatment can't wait beyond August.
Simba is more than a pet - Simba is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $25 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to the Dar es Salaam Emergency Vet Clinic and I'll share the invoice and an update on Simba's recovery.
Where the $350 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $260
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $70
• Medication and follow-up visits: $20
