Save Rocky: Thiago can't afford the emergency vet
A tabby kitten named Rocky needs emergency surgery - a $800 bill the family can't cover.

Rocky is my tabby kitten of thirteen years. On 1 November we rushed to Duque de Caxias Veterinary Centre with a foreign object blocking the intestines. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $800.
They have stabilized Rocky, but the treatment can't wait beyond February.
Rocky is more than a pet - Rocky got me through my hardest year. I have already put $85 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Duque de Caxias Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $800 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $640
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $85
• Medication and follow-up visits: $75
Every share and every dollar helps.
Updates from Thiago
Good news. Because of your gifts ($726 in total) the first invoice got paid this week. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Update from Duque de Caxias: I met with the vet clinic and confirmed the amounts. We're at 43% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

Good luck, Thiago. Shared it with a few friends. After 28 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Berlin.
Keep going, Thiago. Hope you get there. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care.
thinking of you and your family. We've got a rescue too so I know how much they mean
Praying for you, Thiago. We've got a rescue too so I know how much they mean. Wish I lived closer to Istanbul so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Hamilton.
Hope this works out for you. I hope February is when things finally get easier. Blessings!
