Satoshi is facing early-stage lung cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Satoshi was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in February. The oncology team at Tokyo Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Satoshi is 58, worked as a bakery worker until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Tokyo Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $3,900 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $280
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,000
• Scans and lab work: $620
