Sanne lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the The Hague Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,900.
Her current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Sanne could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $5,900 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $5,500
• Delivery and set-up: $220
• Fitting and training sessions: $180
