Samantha is facing stage 3 ovarian cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Samantha was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in February. The oncology team at Aberdeen Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Samantha is 47, worked as a farmer until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Aberdeen Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $8,500 goes:
• Transport to Aberdeen Regional Medical Center: $900
• Scans and lab work: $860
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,740
