Rowan needs a specialist standing frame that the health system won't fund; the cost is $7,250.

I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at the Sydney Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $7,250.
My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could speak with the people around him. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $7,250 goes:
• specialist standing frame: $6,750
• First-year servicing plan: $240
• Fitting and training sessions: $260
