Rojina lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Kathmandu Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,200. Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment Rojina could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $1,200 goes: • adapted tricycle: $1,100 • Fitting and training sessions: $45 • Delivery and set-up: $10 • First-year servicing plan: $45 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Sushma

  • Keep going, Sushma. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
