Rides to dialysis three times a week for Salim in Shubra

A rota of drivers to the Shubra Dialysis Unit would keep Salim on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Salim has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to the Shubra Dialysis Unit alone. After surgery on their hand, Salim can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 29 km each way. Salim is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
