Rides to dialysis three times a week for Kamrul in Savar

A rota of drivers to the Savar Dialysis Unit would keep Kamrul on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Savar
Kamrul has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to the Savar Dialysis Unit alone. After surgery on their hand, Kamrul can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 13 km each way. Kamrul is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
