Gonzalo has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to Sacramento General Hospital alone. After surgery on their hand, Gonzalo can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 12 km each way. Gonzalo is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sending love. Get well soon. Love from Essen.

    • Keep going, Nuria. Hope the doctors have good news. After 23 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything.

      • Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Sacramento
