A scheduled cataract surgery in August is out of reach without help covering $4,600 of the cost.

Rachel was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in April. The surgeon at Arlington Orthopedic Institute recommended cataract surgery, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,500, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $4,600 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Arlington Orthopedic Institute since April. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Rachel struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Rachel won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
