Chloe has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to San Diego General Hospital alone. After a foot amputation, Chloe can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 13 km each way. Chloe is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Sending love. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care.

    • Praying for you, Alyssa. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.

      • Thinking of you and your family. This could happen to any of us. I have a 8 year old who wants to send good wishes too.

        • sending strength, Alyssa. Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of San Diego
