Embakasi
Atim has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to Embakasi General Hospital alone. After an eyesight problem, Atim can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 27 km each way. Atim is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • Wishing you the best. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from Lahore.

    • Get well soon. After 22 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care

      • Sending strength. This could happen to any of us. It's not much but it's yours. Thinking of Embakasi.

        • Wishing you the best, Evans. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. All the best.

          • I hope things turn around soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Xalapa.
