Rides to dialysis three times a week for Álvaro in Madrid
Could you drive Álvaro to the Madrid Kidney Centre on Thursday? A rota of 3 drivers is forming.
🇪🇸 Madrid, Madrid, Spain1,048 views
Álvaro has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to the Madrid Kidney Centre alone. After a foot amputation, Álvaro can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 29 km each way.
Álvaro is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
