My family left Venezuela 6 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Augusta. We're a family of seven and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 3 months of rent, and that support ends in August.
I was a pharmacist in Venezuela, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).

• Language classes and bus passes: $450
• Rent deposit and first month: $1,750
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $150

Sure. The biggest one is language classes and bus passes, $450. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
