Resettlement support for 6 people arriving in Winston-Salem
Help a family of 8 start their new life in Winston-Salem: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Venezuela 14 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Winston-Salem. We're a family of five and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in June.
I was a teacher in Venezuela, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $3,100 goes:
• Language classes and bus passes: $550
• Rent deposit and first month: $2,150
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $400
Thanks for reading all this.

Sending good thoughts, Tyler. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
