My mother Mercy has been accepted for treatment at Kikuyu Children's Hospital in Kikuyu, starting on Thursday in April. We live 418 km away in a town in the north, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 3 weeks. Two of us would stay: Mercy and me. We can contribute $25 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Mercy will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • Thinking of you, Caroline. Hope this works out for you.

    • Take care. Hope this works out for you. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings.

      • so sorry you're going through this, Caroline. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.

        • Keep going. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Put this on a community board in Medan this morning.
