Renata's emergency hernia repair can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After a hernia that has become strangulated, Renata was cleared for emergency hernia repair, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Renata was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated in February. The surgeon at St. Petersburg General Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and She is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,500, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $5,700 short.
my daughter has been in and out of St. Petersburg General Hospital since February. The doctors say a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Renata struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Renata won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
