Rebuilding after the tornado: the Lakeview neighborhood needs your help
The tornado damaged 18 homes in the Lakeview neighborhood. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The tornado hit the Lakeview neighborhood on 23 May. My home was one of 18 damaged, and 12 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $5,850 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $1,800
• Clean water and purification supplies: $380
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $640
• Food parcels for displaced families: $720
• Tools and labor for repairs: $2,310

what's already covered and what's the $5,850 for?
It's all in the list in the story. roofing sheets and timber is the big one at $1,800, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Fair thing to want to know.
