Raquel needs my taxi repaired to get back to work in Porto Alegre
Without my taxi Raquel can't work; a $650 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my taxi. 12 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $650. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $650 goes:
• engine head gasket replacement (parts): $410
• Labor charges: $85
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $80
• Towing and inspection: $75
Thank you for reading my story.
