Let's build a playground together in Lalitpur
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $250 for materials.
🇳🇵 Nepal1,250 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 220 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $250 goes:
• Materials: $105
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Safety equipment and signage: $60
• Tools hire and delivery: $35
Glad we found this place.

Rooting for you, Sabina. Great idea, hope you get there. Love from Columbus
Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Wish I lived closer to Mumbai so I could bring a meal. Take care.
