Pro bono tenant-rights lawyer needed for Maricel's case in Metro Manila

Maricel is facing a debt-collection lawsuit I believe is invalid and can't afford a lawyer; a tenant-rights lawyer willing to review the case for free could make the difference.

I'm facing a debt-collection lawsuit I believe is invalid, with a hearing on November. I earn too much to qualify for legal aid on paper, but not nearly enough to pay a lawyer's retainer. I'm looking for a qualified tenant-rights lawyer licensed in Metro Manila who might be able to review my documents, prepare me for the hearing, or take the case pro bono or on a reduced fee. I've organized my documents chronologically, and I'll share them with the lawyer who agrees to help. I can travel to your office in Quezon City or meet online. I understand that the time of a lawyer is valuable, and I'm deeply grateful for any help or for suggestions of organizations that could assist. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • good luck, Maricel. Hope you get there. After 20 years in social work I know how hard it is to ask for anything.

    • Best of luck. Hope you get there. Blessings

      • Rooting for you. Hope you get there. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope November is when things finally get easier. Greetings from Abbottabad
