Pranjal lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Prayagraj Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $800.
Her current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Pranjal could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $800 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $30
• First-year servicing plan: $50
• prosthetic leg: $720
