Prakash served four years; now needs help to get home
Prakash served four years in the army; $700 would cover a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.

I served four years in the army and was discharged in 2022 with post-traumatic stress. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $700.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $700 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $50
• Housing deposit and first month: $260
• Training provider fees: $390
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

rooting for you. Your post was clear and honest. My neighbor in Istanbul donated after I showed her your page. Take care!

Sending good thoughts, Prakash. This could happen to any of us. It's not much but it's yours.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Bonny so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
