Prakash was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in November. The oncology team at Nagpur University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in February. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Prakash is 52, worked as a bakery worker until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Nagpur University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
