Jacaranda Primary School needs a community fridge - Oanh's neighborhood project

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $650. It will serve about 481 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $650 goes: • Permits and inspections: $30 • Tools hire and delivery: $70 • Materials: $550 Thank you for reading my story. - Oanh
