Plant 3,450 native trees around the Freedom wetland in Radom
A neighborhood-led restoration of the Freedom wetland needs $900 for saplings and equipment.
🇵🇱 Masovia, Poland583 views
The Freedom wetland has been used as an informal dump for years. This November, 67 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 97 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the city parks department, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $900 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $500
• Tools and protective gear: $125
• Waste removal and skip hire: $230
• Signage and educational materials: $45
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Wishing you the best, Beata. I hope things turn around soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Hope things get better soon. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Love from Jalandhar
Stay strong. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We're a small family in San Nicolás de los Garza but we're thinking of you. Greetings from San Nicolás de los Garza.
Sending strength. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. My husband and I read this together. Take care.
