Plant 2,350 native trees around the Freedom riverbank in Tel Aviv
Volunteers are restoring the Freedom riverbank in Tel Aviv; $1,900 covers saplings, tools and waste removal.

The Freedom riverbank has been used as an informal dump for years. This July, 72 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 153 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the municipal water board, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
Funds buy saplings, gloves, bags, hire of a skip, and signage.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $820
• Tools and protective gear: $340
• Waste removal and skip hire: $610
• Signage and educational materials: $130
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Keep going. Hope you get there. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Sivan?
Wishing you peace, Sivan. More neighborhoods should do this. Blessings.
I hope things turn around soon. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Tel Aviv.
Sending strength. Hope this works out for you. We're a small family in Houston but we're thinking of you.
rooting for you, Sivan. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings.
wishing you peace. Shared this with my family. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
Hang in there, Sivan. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
