Plant 1,600 native trees around the Pioneer riverbank in Dublin
A neighborhood-led restoration of the Pioneer riverbank needs $2,500 for saplings and equipment.

The Pioneer riverbank has been used as an informal dump for years. This March, 50 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 184 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the local forestry office, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
Funds buy saplings, gloves, bags, hire of a skip, and signage.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $1,600
• Tools and protective gear: $470
• Waste removal and skip hire: $290
• Signage and educational materials: $140
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope this works out for you. After 22 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
hope it all works out, Fionn. Shared it with a few friends. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Wishing you peace. This could happen to any of us. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of Dublin.
praying for you, Fionn. More neighborhoods should do this.
Hope things get better soon, Fionn. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Please keep us posted. All the best.
