Piper's valve repair surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After a thyroid nodule that needs removal, Piper was cleared for valve repair surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Piper was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in June. The surgeon at Los Angeles Orthopedic Institute recommended valve repair surgery, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,000, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $3,550 short.
my mother has been in and out of Los Angeles Orthopedic Institute since June. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Piper struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Piper won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
