Emergency vet bill for Oscar in Christchurch
A dog named Oscar needs emergency surgery - a $1,550 bill the family can't cover.
🇳🇿 Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand1,006 views
Oscar is my dog of thirteen years. On 20 December we rushed to Christchurch Animal Hospital with a ruptured cruciate ligament. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $1,550.
They have stabilized Oscar, but the treatment can't wait beyond April.
Oscar is more than a pet - Oscar is the reason I get out of bed. I have already put $100 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Christchurch Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $860
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $450
• Medication and follow-up visits: $120
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $120
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
- Kylie
