I live with a rare neuromuscular condition. My occupational therapist at the Khon Kaen Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,350. My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $2,350 goes: • pair of hearing aids: $2,200 • Fitting and training sessions: $40 • Delivery and set-up: $50 • First-year servicing plan: $60 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Updates from Pimchanok

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($421 in total) the first invoice got paid this week. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Small update. $60 so far, I made the first payment toward fitting and training sessions.

  3. Update from Khon Kaen: I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. We're at 2% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
