Robert lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at Brisbane General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,150. His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment Robert could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $2,150 goes: • braille note-taker: $1,800 • Fitting and training sessions: $210 • Delivery and set-up: $140 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Peyton
