Jannat was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in September. The surgeon at Comilla Community Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and She is scheduled for December. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,900, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,150 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Comilla Community Hospital since September. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,900 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Jannat struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Jannat won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
