Saket
I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a computer science degree at Saket State College, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a library assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $800. The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.6 average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility. I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Saket State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $800 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $300 • Final term tuition: $430 • Exam and lab fees: $30 • Textbooks and materials: $40 Thanks for being kind about this. - Padma

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Padma

It's all in the list in the story. outstanding tuition balance is the big one at $300, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Appreciate you taking the time.

sending good thoughts, Padma. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.
