Ouma needs a stair-climbing aid - help us make it happen
Ouma needs a stair-climbing aid that the health system won't fund; the cost is $500.

Ouma lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Machakos Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $500.
His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Ouma could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $500 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $370
• Fitting and training sessions: $40
• Delivery and set-up: $30
• First-year servicing plan: $60
Every share and every dollar helps.

Praying for you, Neema. Get well soon. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in Malmö this morning.
Thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Accra donated after I showed her your page. Take care.
Praying for you. Wishing Ouma a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Cape Coast
Thinking of you and your family, Neema. Hope you get there. Sent it to 40 people at work. Thinking of Machakos.
