Oscar's a foreign object blocking the intestines: help with the vet bill
A senior cat named Oscar needs a hospital stay and surgery - a $200 bill the family can't cover.

Oscar is my senior cat of three years. On 11 July we rushed to Colombo Animal Hospital with a foreign object blocking the intestines. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $200.
They have stabilized Oscar, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Oscar is more than a pet - Oscar is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $65 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Colombo Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $200 goes:
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $50
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $45
• Emergency surgery: $105

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. hospitalization (2 nights) comes first ($50) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
