Natália is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a master's in public health at São Paulo Polytechnic, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $750.
The registrar has said Natália can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Natália has a top-ten-percent average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Natália would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Natália isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the São Paulo Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $750 goes:
• Final term tuition: $560
• Exam and lab fees: $90
• Textbooks and materials: $100
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

wishing you the best, Marcelo. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Thinking of São Paulo.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 10 people at work.
Good luck, Marcelo. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Kansas City.
You're not alone, Marcelo. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. My neighbor in Likoni donated after I showed her your page. Love from Likoni.
