Ihor is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an agriculture degree at the Moscow Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,750.
The registrar has said Ihor can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Ihor has a 3.9 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Ihor would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Ihor isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
