Francisca is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a diploma in hospitality management at Petrópolis University, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,300. The registrar has said Francisca can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Francisca has a first-class average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Francisca would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Francisca isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Petrópolis University bursar's office.
