Berk is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Istanbul Polytechnic, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,450.
The registrar has said Berk can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Berk has a 3.9 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Berk would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Berk isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Istanbul Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $1,450 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $420
• Final term tuition: $930
• Exam and lab fees: $60
• Textbooks and materials: $40
Thank you so much.

Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Sent it to 36 people at work. All the best.
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Berk?
Take care, Melek. Shared this with my family. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings
Sending love, Melek. It takes guts to ask. Well done!
