Océane is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in civil engineering at Hamilton Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $6,250. The registrar has said Océane can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Océane has a first-class average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Océane would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Océane isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Hamilton Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
