Nhung's final semester of a degree in civil engineering in Da Nang
A first-generation student, Nhung needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a degree in civil engineering.
🇻🇳 Da Nang, Da Nang, Vietnam1,310 views
Nhung is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in civil engineering at the Da Nang Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $900.
The registrar has said Nhung can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Nhung has a 3.9 average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Nhung would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Nhung isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $900 goes:
• Final term tuition: $440
• Textbooks and materials: $30
• Outstanding tuition balance: $430
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Sending strength, Dung. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Da Nang.
sending good thoughts, Dung. Your post was clear and honest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings
Thinking of you and your family, Dung. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best.
