Nevaeh's final semester of a nursing degree in Glendale
Nevaeh has worked and saved for five years to study a nursing degree; a $2,900 gap now stands between her and graduation.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a nursing degree at Glendale State College, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $2,900.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.9 average, and my academic advisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Glendale State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $880
• Final term tuition: $1,250
• Exam and lab fees: $340
• Textbooks and materials: $430
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Keep going, Nevaeh. Shared this with my family. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Laval
Sending love, Nevaeh. Hope you get there. Take care.
Thinking of you and your family. This could happen to any of us. Sent it to 30 people at work!
